TRACK SYSTEM TO USE
Another item to consider when evaluating the cost of a retractable pool cover are the track option you will be using. There are essentially 3 different types of pool cover track systems that pull the cover across the pool.
Under Track System
The Under Track System is a great choice if you’re after a sleek look. It’s hidden in the pool wall or mounted on the bottom of the coping, making it almost invisible. This type of track is perfect for rectangular pools and can even be used for freeform pools with a “pool-in-pool” design. However, it can be a bit more expensive to install in freeform pools and costs more than top track systems.
Top Track System
The Top Track System is a good option for freeform pools. It can be installed under an aluminum lid or mounted to the deck surface. The cover then rides over the tracks on wheels.
Recessed Track System
The Recessed Track System or top recessed track sits on the pool deck itself. It sits flush with your pool deck and is embedded in the deck itself.
